Wrist Arthroscopy

The wrist is very complex. There are many things that can go wrong or become injured in the wrist. Many of these injures can be treated and the treated assisted with the use of wrist arthroscopy.

Wrist arthroscopy is performed by using a small camera that is attached to the end of a small fiber optic tube. This tube is placed into the wrist joint and allows the surgeon to visualize all of the structures inside the wrist joint. It is a powerful both for additional diagnosis and to allow the treatment of several different disorders involving the wrist.

In this situation the wrist arthroscope is used to help remove a ganglion cyst on the back of the wrist. This allows a smaller incision to be made for the treatment of this problem.
